The Power Breath Meditation Workshop is a mind‑body resilience building program for returning veterans. It offers practical breath‑based tools that decrease stress, anxiety, anger and sleep problems and improve well‑being.
Five‑Day Workshop – Attendance at all sessions is required

Springfield, IL: May 24th, Sunday, all day: VETMotorsports
2 wheel outreach (Flat-Track crew members)
VETMotorsports' non-clinical outreach program in Springfield, IL. We have slots for 2 OIF / OEF / OND injured warfighters. They will be embedded into a select AMA Pro Racing Flat-Track race team as active crew members.
Ideally the participants should have some mechanical ability or love for motorsports. This is a hands on event, training will be provided. We can accommodate up to a paraplegic. We have worked with PTS and TBI, as well as other injuries. Participants must commit to the duration of the program. The participants can bring one guest or care giver. A VSO representative and/or peer to peer support can attend upon request. VETMotorsports will provide all the needed passes, shirts, hats, gloves. The participants will report directly to the teams we collaborate with (their crew chief). Light food/snacks are provided while at the track.

7 SEPT: FREE RIVER TRIP: Grand Canyon River Association (GCRRA) plans to provide a 10-day Grand Canyon-Colorado River motorized rafting trip for 22 Marine Corps Wounded Warriors and two medical personnel, from Aug 27th – Sept 7th. There will be a group orientation the evening before the trip departs and a farewell dinner the evening of the last day. The trip will cover 225 river miles and traverse the entire Grand Canyon National Park. GCRRA will cover ALL costs for the trip from pick-up to return.
The orientation and farewell dinner will be held in Flagstaff, AZ. Marines will be bussed from Flagstaff to the river launch site at Lees Ferry, AZ, and at the end of the trip they will be bussed back to Flagstaff from Diamond Creek (Hualapi Indian Reservation), AZ. Marines will stay at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Flagstaff on the night of the orientation and on the night of the farewell dinner. During the 9 nights of the river trip Marines will stay at campsites along the Colorado River.
